News & Events

January 27, 6:30 pm (Tuesday): HIGH SCHOOL information night
8th grade families, please join us to learn about high school. Principals and other staff from area high schools will speak about programs and opportunities available at each school, including Rainier Beach, Cleveland, South Lake, Franklin and Nova. Open Enrollment is Feb. 23 to Mar. 6, 2015. Come get your questions about high school answered!

January 30, 4:00-8:00 (Friday): COLLEGE preparation for Aki families
All families are invited to our college preparation event! On our family needs assessment survey in the fall, college preparation was the most common need expressed by you, our families. We have organized this event in direct response to that.
The evening will include:

  • A panel of local experts who will speak about financial access to college and how to academically prepare for college now and in high school.
  • Time for them to answer your questions.
  • The inspiring film "First Generation."
  • Free dinner included!

Please come for all or part of the evening. It is so important to get this information while your child is in middle school! We hope to see you all there.
