FREE & REDUCED PRICE LUNCH FUNDING
Attention, all families: You may not realize it, but a significant amount of our funding is based on the number of students who qualify for Free & Reduced lunch. The F&R lunch application is about MUCH MORE than just lunch! Please complete and turn in an application form so that we have an accurate accounting of students who qualify, and so that our school gets all of the funding that it qualifies for and that our student community deserves to have! Parents and Guardians as partners MATH NIGHT - Tuesday, March 10, 6:00-7:30 pm in the library
During this event we will review the standards, discuss the Smarter Balanced state test, and have opportunities to practice math and a sample test. We will enjoy pies in honor of the upcoming PI day (Saturday, 3/14). We will also engage in some fun PI (3.1415) activities, and all participants will receive resources to support their student at home.

Our library was full for high school information night on January 27.
Principals and other staff from area high schools spoke about programs and opportunities available at each school. Open Enrollment is Feb. 23 to Mar. 6, 2015. Please follow up with counselors if you have further questions.
Our college preparation event was inspiring and helpful on Jan. 30.

to Focus on Technology in Learning
The School District is seeking parents and students to participate in its “Teaching & Learning (T&L) Technology Vision Summit” on Sat., Jan. 24.
This summit will also involve representatives from Seattle Public Schools (SPS) leadership, faculty, the City of Seattle, community partners, businesses, members of the SPS Technology Vision Taskforce and others. The session, 9 am-2 pm at Cleveland High School, will help create a vision for teaching & learning at SPS, and how technology will enable that vision. Registration is required by Dec. 31.
