Electronics Policy

Electronics policy at Aki Kurose

Cell phones and electronics are to be powered off and stored away during school hours

  • If a student does not follow this policy, the following will happen:
  • The student will be given one reminder about the policy
  • If the student’s phone or electronic item is seen or heard again after one reminder, the student will be asked to turn in the item

1st incident

  1. Student’s family will be contacted
  2. Student can pick up their phone after school hours
  3. Incident will be documented

2nd incident:

  1. Student’s family will be contacted
  2. Student’s family can pick up their phone from administration
  3. incident will be documented

3rd incident:

  1. Student’s family will be contacted by administration
  2. A family meeting will be set up with administration, the student’s family, and the student
  3. A “no phone contract” will be signed by all, and a plan will be put in place for the student’s phone to no longer be on them at school
  4. Incident will be documented
