Lakeside offers five different summer programs that nurture and develop students’ passions. Each summer, over 600 students from the greater Seattle area.
The Seattle Public Library
We have offered summer reading and learning programs for Seattle youth since 1919. Our 2024 Summer of Learning theme was Free to Read!

Come experience the amazing summer opportunities in your neighborhood community center and parks for all youth ages 3-17! Options include Summer Day Camps.
Free Summer Meals:
This program provides free, healthy breakfasts, lunches, and snacks to children and teens ages 18 and under during the summer.
- United Way of King County‘s Free Summer Meals Program
This program offers free meals at various locations throughout King County, including schools, parks, and community centers.
You can use the United Way Summer Meals Site Finder or text FOOD to 304-304 to locate a site near you.
Free Summer Programs and Activities:
Offers a variety of free drop-in summer day programs for teens and tweens at Community Centers, including the Summer of Safety program.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Seattle:
Offers affordable, high-quality summer programming with educational programming, field trips, and early morning/late afternoon care.
