Office of AAMA Student Leadership Council Applications

The Office of African American Male Achievement is proud to open applications for our Student Leadership Council. The SLC is a brotherhood of student leaders who support each other at their schools and across the district while providing guidance to district leadership and holding leadership accountable on priority initiatives of AAMA.

We are working to have an SLC representative from each middle school, K-8 school, and high school in SPS. We currently have representatives from Cleveland, Lincoln, Chief Sealth, Rainier Beach and Garfield High Schools and Denny, Mercer, and Eckstein Middle Schools. We will only be accepting applications from students at schools that are not currently represented on the SLC.

We invite Black male students in grades 7-12 to apply to the AAMA Student Leadership Council by Wednesday, March 10 at 5 p.m. Please help us share this opportunity with students.

Students will be eligible to receive a stipend. Members also may have the opportunity to: lead professional development conferences across the country, participate in future HBCU tours, and earn service-learning hours.
