Family Communication: School Messenger on February 4, 2021 @ 4 PM
Dear Aki Kurose Families,
We know that this year filled has been filled with new challenges and stresses for both students and families and we want to provide students with resources and supports they need. In order to serve our Aki Kurose student community, the counseling and student support team uses a variety of tools and data to develop programs and interventions specific to our students. One of the tools used is the student needs assessment survey. This short survey asks students how they are feeling about a variety of academic and social emotional topics. Based on survey responses, school counselors and school support staff may follow up with students individually to offer to check-ins and resources within the Aki community. Ultimately, we want to remove barriers for our students and ensure that they have access to programs, activities and supports to help them feel safe and welcomed within the school environment. If you would like to review the survey, please let us know and we will make one available to you by emailing tlallen@seattleschools.org. If you would like to opt your student out of completing the needs assessment, please contact the main office at 206-252-7700 by 02/19/2021. Students will be completing the student needs assessment in their advisory classes throughout the spring semester starting in March.
First Semester Report Cards will be available for viewing online starting next week, February 8th. If you need a hard copy mailed to you via US Post, please contact school to make this request. For information on how to log in, create an account, view Report Cards, please go to the SPS Website.
